Welcome to the first DCC (Designer Craft Connection) Blog hop for 2019 It is being sponsored by PLAID, Brand New MOD PODGE ULTRA SPRAY BOTTLE. My heart is doing the Happy Dance.
These bottles don’t have screw on lids and like paint brushes, Mod Podge Ultra Spray tops needs to be cleaned after every use. If they aren’t they will clog and become unusable to everything but the circular file.
Today,I am sharing my latest project. I am using a lampshade, Mod Podge Ultra Spray Matte (gold bottle),PLAID coastal paint, Canvas Corp Tissue paper, Maya Arts Ribbon, Napkins
I purchased the lamp shade for its unique texture and it was $2.00 (Thrift shop find). I used the PLAID coastal paint and it with the fabric of the shade gave a coarse feel to it. I didn’t want to apply the tissue paper directly to the shade. I used five sheets of 12 x 12 sheets of the tissue paper. The paper was from Canvas Corp and I found it at Tuesday Morning. I also found the napkins there too! The napkins are 3-ply. I was going to try and use some of the other colors from the napkins and I decided not too!
After painting the shade and adding the tissue paper (Yes! I waited for the paint to dry), I started to add the flowers, you can choose your pattern and quantity. I cut mine and played before applying. It was so easy. either spray the paper of the tissue or the napkin and have fun.
I added some black ribbon that looks a little like rosettes at the top of the lamp, I might go back and change it and add some cool black tassels at the bottom of the lamp. PLAID sent me some cool tassel makers from Bucilla a set of three. They feel like a balsa wood but more stronger. They come in a 4 inch Tassel, 3 inch Tassel, and 2 inch Tassel I have lots of black embroidery floss hmmmmm!
I suggest you pick up a bottle 2 or 3 and start playing and have a good time.
